For 30 years now, our partner Stumboeck is offering guided ski tours to North America. Your guide is a companion and guarantor of successful holidays, always bilingual and knows a lot about country and the people. He will welcome you at the airport, drive the van, show you the ski resorts and assist you during the whole ski safari. You travel alone? No problem! On the trips of Stumboeck you have the best chance to meet new friends who share the same passion. Our Bavarian partner definitely lives up to the motto "Skiing with friends".
Flight with Air Canada via Frankfurt to Calgary, where you are picked up by your Stumböck freeride guide. Then the journey back to Fernie, where you spend the night in the Hotel Park Place Lodge.
Fernie offers everything that the freerider’s heart desires: three huge bowls, lots of open steep terrain and challenging forest downhills. In nearby Castle Mountain you will experience a ski resort that for the most part consists of open and broad flanks, with many pistes running unforgivingly down the fall line.
Optional: In Fernie there is also the possibility of booking a catskiing trip. With the snowcat, even remote deep snow areas can be accessed. (1-day package including guide, powder skis, lunch, safety equipment: 362 euros per person.)
Today you can enjoy the slopes in Fernie one last time before moving on to Kicking Horse in the afternoon. You will spend the night at the Prestige Inn in Golden.
Over the next few days discover Kicking Horse, a challenging ski resort which is rated by connoisseurs in particular due to its average 7 metres of snowfall. Hardly any waiting times at the lifts, more than 108 downhills and a huge freeride terrain guarantee fun and action. Your Stumböck guide will make sure that you are at the right place at the right time. Trying out the super bowl is an absolute must – extreme terrain that can only be reached after a short ascent.
Optional: Heliskiing with Purcell Heliski in Golden (basic package including 5 downhills, heliguide, powder skis, lunch, safety equipment: 924 euros per person).
Today is the final day of the trip. You travel back to Calgary with the minibus and then fly with Air Canada via Frankfurt to Switzerland.
You will be back in Switzerland in the afternoon.
